| It was made to provide a free and non-comercial service for java development community, that allow to quick find information about javadoc-style public java classes. |
javadoc online is based in a  service called Google Web APIs (beta). It means that this service search for your classes in Google, building better automatic querys, to show only filtered javadoc webs. |
